Find out how our cancellation policies work now that coronavirus restrictions have mostly been eased off, and what we will do in the unlikely event they are reintroduced.
Update 10 May 2021
As restrictions have loosened on social events and life is starting to return to normal, things are returning to normal here to at Capital Event Hire. We’re ramping up capacity of stock and delivery drivers to meet what we expect to be a very busy summer of events, weddings and functions.
This loosening of restrictions has meant that our cancellation policy is now returning to how it was prior to the COVID pandemic.
If you need to change, amend or cancel your order then it’s vital you email firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as you know, so we can sort things out.
If you need to add to or amend items on your order we will send you an additional invoice and a payment link to make any additional payment required. We can do this up until 3 days prior to delivery, subject to availability.
If you need to remove items or cancel orders from your order then we can do that, but there are charges involved.
If you are cancelling your order or removing items more than 28 days prior to delivery, then we can refund 75% of the value of the cancelled items / order. If you have only paid a 25% deposit then you will lose this, but you will not be liable for the remainder of your order.
If you are cancelling your order or removing items between 7 and 28 days prior to delivery, then we can refund you 50% of the cancelled items / order.
If you are cancelling your order or removing items less than 7 days prior to delivery, then we regret we cannot refund anything.
We also regret that we cannot reschedule orders due to factors such as inclement weather.
The upshot of this is it is vital for customers to plan for contingencies such as the weather and take out event insurance wherever possible to protect against losses.
In the unlikely event that restrictions are put back into place then we will work to reschedule orders as needed and offer 100% credit notes against orders that have to be cancelled. However, we must stress that this will open happen if restrictions are reintroduced by the Government.
If you have an outstanding credit note with us, we are happy to honour that credit note until the end of 2022 against any order you wish to place with us, subject to availability.
